The stitch library includes essential utility stitches for everyday construction, decorative stitches to add personality and detail, dedicated quilting stitches, and 17 one-step buttonholes for polished, professional finishes. Three built-in sewing alphabets make it easy to add labels, names, or subtle personalization to your projects. Each stitch can be fine-tuned with a maximum stitch width of 7 mm and a stitch length of up to 5 mm, allowing you to customize your look for different fabrics and techniques. 5" Color Touch Screen The 5" color touch screen on the bernette 77 makes navigating stitches, settings, and functions refreshingly simple. Its bright, easy-to-read display allows you to select stitches, adjust stitch length and width, and fine-tune settings with just a tap. Clear icons and intuitive layouts keep everything within reach, even when switching between techniques or projects. Beyond basic navigation, the touch screen works seamlessly with the machine’s multi-function knobs and built-in Creative Consultant to guide you through stitch choices and recommended settings. Whether you’re experimenting with decorative stitches, setting up buttonholes, or quilting multiple layers, the 5" color touch screen keeps you informed and in control. Quick Access Buttons The bernette 77 is equipped with thoughtfully placed quick access buttons that keep essential controls right at your fingertips. Functions like quick reverse, securing stitches, needle up/down, and needle left/right allow you to make instant adjustments without interrupting your workflow. The start/stop button gives you the option to sew without the foot control, while the presser foot up/down button makes fabric positioning fast and effortless. An integrated thread cutter trims threads cleanly at the touch of a button, saving time between seams and keeping your work area neat. The upper and lower multi-function knobs provide smooth, tactile control for adjusting stitch settings, navigating menus, and fine-tuning details as you sew. Together, these quick access controls create a seamless, ergonomic sewing experience. Dual Feed The integrated dual feed system on the b77 ensures smooth, even fabric feeding from both the top and bottom, giving you consistent stitch quality on a wide range of materials. Easily engaged when needed, this feature is especially helpful when sewing multiple layers, thick seams, or challenging fabrics that tend to shift. By keeping layers aligned as they move through the machine, the dual feed helps maintain accuracy and balance from start to finish. Back-Kick Function The programmable foot control with back-kick function on the bernette 77 adds a new level of convenience and customization to your sewing workflow. This smart feature allows you to assign specific actions—such as needle up/down, securing stitches, or thread cutting—to a simple tap of your heel, so you can control key functions without taking your hands off the fabric. It’s an intuitive way to work faster and more comfortably, especially during long sewing sessions. Needle Threader The semi-automatic needle threader makes machine setup quicker and more comfortable, especially during frequent thread changes. With a simple motion, the thread is guided smoothly through the eye of the needle, eliminating the frustration of manual threading. It’s a practical feature that helps you get started faster and keeps your focus on sewing rather than setup. Bobbin Winding Bobbin winding on the bernette 77 is designed to be fast, smooth, and hassle-free. The easy-to-use bobbin winder delivers evenly wound bobbins that help maintain consistent thread tension and reliable stitch quality. Clear guidance and intuitive controls make the process straightforward, even when switching thread types or colors. LED Sewing Lights Bright LED sewing lights illuminate the workspace providing clear, even lighting exactly where you need it. This improved lighting is especially helpful when working with dark fabrics, intricate seams, or detailed quilting. The LED lights produce a clean, consistent glow without generating excess heat, keeping your sewing area comfortable during longer sessions. Eco Mode When the machine is idle for a set period of time, eco mode automatically powers down non-essential functions, helping conserve electricity while extending the life of the machine’s components. This thoughtful feature is especially useful in busy sewing rooms or home studios. Eco mode supports more efficient operation while giving you peace of mind that your b77 is working responsibly behind the scenes. Spacious Sewing Area The generous sewing space on the bernette 77 is designed to comfortably support larger projects and more complex sewing techniques, with a full 9" of space to the right of the needle. This large area makes it easier to manage quilts, garments, and bulky fabrics without feeling cramped, allowing your project to move smoothly and stay well supported as you sew. For even more room and stability, the b77 includes a large extension table that significantly expands the work surface. This added support is ideal for quilting, long seams, and multi-layer projects, reducing fabric drag and helping keep stitches consistent. Together, the spacious sewing area and extension table create a comfortable, efficient workspace that lets you focus on precision, creativity, and enjoying sewing. Onboard Storage Convenient onboard storage on the bernette 77 keeps essential accessories neatly organized and within easy reach. Presser feet, bobbins, needles, and small tools store securely inside the machine, reducing clutter and saving time during setup or mid-project adjustments. Having everything close at hand helps maintain an efficient, uninterrupted sewing flow. This built-in storage is especially useful when switching techniques or accessories, allowing you to stay focused on your project instead of searching for supplies.
