bernette 70 DECO Embroidery Machine

Create polished, professional embroidery with confidence using the bernette 70 DECO Embroidery Machine, a purpose-built embroidery-only machine designed for sewists and makers who want dedicated performance without compromise. Because the b70 DECO focuses exclusively on embroidery, it delivers a streamlined, intuitive experience that’s ideal for embellishing garments, accessories, quilts, and home décor. With 208 built-in embroidery designs and 7 embroidery alphabets, you can start stitching immediately, while USB connectivity and multi-format design compatibility make it easy to expand your design library with custom motifs and purchased files. At the heart of the machine is a 5" centrally located color touch screen that makes design editing both simple and precise. Directly on screen, you can mirror, rotate, scale, reposition, and combine designs, as well as cut connecting stitches and automatically trim threads before color changes for cleaner results and less manual finishing. The generous 260 x 160 mm (10.2" x 6.3") embroidery area allows for larger, more detailed motifs, and automatic hoop recognition ensures the machine instantly detects the correct hoop size for accurate placement. Three standard embroidery hoops are included, giving you flexibility for everything from small accents to bold statement designs. Built for efficiency and reliability, the bernette 70 DECO Embroidery Machine stitches at speeds up to 850 stitches per minute, helping you complete projects faster without sacrificing stitch quality. Upper and lower thread sensors alert you if thread runs out or breaks, preventing wasted time and misaligned designs. Convenience features like the semi-automatic needle threader, automatic thread cutter, and auto presser foot lifter reduce setup time and keep your workflow moving smoothly. Four bright LED sewing lights illuminate the embroidery area for clear visibility, while thoughtful additions such as personal memory, eco mode, and comprehensive on-screen controls make this machine as comfortable to use as it is capable. Whether you’re personalizing gifts or producing detailed decorative embroidery, the bernette 70 DECO Embroidery Machine offers the precision, power, and creative freedom to elevate every stitch. 208 Designs | 7 Alphabets The 208 built-in embroidery designs and 7 embroidery alphabets give you a versatile, creative library that’s ready the moment you turn the machine on. The built-in designs span a wide range of styles, from elegant florals and modern motifs to classic decorative elements, making it easy to find the perfect design for garments, accessories, home décor, and personalized gifts. The included 7 embroidery alphabets open the door to effortless personalization, allowing you to monogram towels, label handmade items, or add names and meaningful phrases. Each alphabet is designed to stitch cleanly and clearly, even at smaller sizes, and can be resized, rotated, mirrored, or combined directly on the color touch screen. 5" Color Touch Screen The 5" centrally located color touch screen puts powerful embroidery control right at your fingertips, making design selection and editing both intuitive and enjoyable. The bright, full-color display provides a clear view of your designs, so you can confidently preview how each motif or lettering element will look before stitching begins. Navigating through built-in designs, embroidery alphabets, and saved files is smooth and straightforward. Beyond simple selection, the touch screen unlocks advanced on-screen editing capabilities that let you truly customize every project. With just a few taps, you can mirror, rotate, scale, reposition, and combine embroidery designs, as well as edit lettering for perfect placement and proportion. Features like automatic trimming of connecting stitches and thread cuts before color changes can also be managed directly on screen, helping produce clean, professional results with minimal manual finishing. Quick Access Buttons The intuitive function buttons and multi-function knobs are designed to give you precise, hands-on control while keeping embroidery setup smooth, efficient, and accurate. The upper and lower multi-function knobs allow you to fine-tune settings and make detailed design adjustments with tactile ease, working seamlessly alongside the touch screen to support your personal workflow. For flawless alignment, center design and needle-to-hoop centering functions take the guesswork out of placement by automatically centering designs within the hoop and positioning the needle as a clear reference point. Thoughtfully arranged function buttons keep essential controls within easy reach, including dedicated buttons for the sewing light, start/stop, thread cutter, and presser foot up/down. Added control comes from the needle up/down function, which lets you choose where the needle stops for easy fabric repositioning, while the check embroidery design size feature ensures your design fits perfectly within the attached hoop before stitching begins. Included Embroidery Hoops & Hoop Detection With multiple hoop sizes included, you can easily switch between smaller designs for garments and accessories and larger motifs for quilts, bags, and home décor. Each hoop is designed to hold fabric securely and evenly, helping maintain consistent stitch quality while reducing shifting or puckering during embroidery. To make setup even easier, the b70 DECO features automatic hoop recognition, which instantly detects the hoop size once it’s attached to the machine. This smart feature ensures your design stays within the embroidery area and prevents accidental stitching outside the hoop’s boundaries. Together, the included hoops and automatic detection system streamline the embroidery process. Upper and Lower Thread Sensors The upper and lower thread sensors are designed to protect your projects and keep embroidery running smoothly from start to finish. These intelligent sensors continuously monitor both the top and bobbin threads, automatically alerting you if a thread breaks or runs out. By stopping the machine immediately when an issue is detected, they help prevent skipped stitches, incomplete designs, and wasted time reworking a project. This added layer of reliability is especially valuable during detailed or multi-color embroidery, where thread changes are frequent, and designs can take longer to complete. Knowing the machine is actively watching your threads allows you to stitch with confidence. 4 LED Sewing Lights The four integrated LED lights provide bright, even illumination across the entire embroidery area, ensuring you can clearly see every stitch as it forms. Strategically placed to minimize shadows and glare, these LEDs make it easier to monitor detailed designs, manage thread changes, and accurately position fabric in the hoop—especially helpful when working with dark materials or intricate patterns. Needle Threader Threading your needle becomes fast and stress-free with the semi-automatic needle threader. Designed to simplify setup, this feature guides the thread cleanly through the eye of the needle with a smooth, easy motion—no squinting or steady hands required. It’s especially convenient during multi-color embroidery, when frequent thread changes are part of the process. Bobbin Winding Winding bobbins is quick and hassle-free thanks to the built-in bobbin winder on the bernette 70 DECO. Designed for smooth, even winding, it ensures consistent thread tension on every bobbin, which is essential for clean, reliable embroidery results. Having a dependable bobbin winder built right into the machine means you’re always prepared, whether you’re starting a new project or refilling bobbins between color changes. Eco Mode When the machine is idle for a set period of time, eco mode automatically powers down non-essential functions, helping conserve electricity while extending the life of the machine’s components. This thoughtful feature is especially useful in busy sewing rooms or home studios. Eco mode supports more efficient operation while giving you peace of mind that your b70 DECO is working responsibly behind the scenes. Spacious Embroidery Area Create bold, beautifully detailed designs with the generous 260 x 160 mm (10.2" x 6.3") embroidery area on the bernette 70 DECO. This spacious stitching field allows you to embroider larger motifs, detailed designs, and expansive lettering without constantly rehooping, saving time while improving design accuracy. Ample embroidery space also gives you greater creative freedom when combining designs or working with intricate patterns that need room to breathe. Whether you’re stitching a single oversized motif or arranging multiple elements within one hoop, the b70 DECO’s embroidery area supports precise placement and smooth stitching, helping every project look polished and professionally finished. Optional Bernina CutWork Tool Expand your creative possibilities even further with the bernette 70 DECO’s compatibility with the BERNINA CutWork Tool. This advanced accessory allows the b70 DECO to go beyond traditional embroidery by precisely cutting shapes and patterns directly into fabric using the machine’s embroidery motion. Instead of stitching with thread, the CutWork Tool uses a small blade that rotates at multiple angles to create clean curves, sharp corners, and intricate cutouts with impressive accuracy. CutWork compatibility opens the door to a wide range of decorative techniques, including appliqué cutouts, lace-style designs, layered embellishments, and mixed-media projects. Because the cutting process is automated and guided by embroidery designs, results are consistent and repeatable—ideal for both detailed one-of-a-kind pieces and production-style projects.
