Whether you’re hemming garments, piecing quilts, or exploring creative details, the bernette 37 helps take the stress out of sewing so you can focus on enjoying the process. With 50 built-in stitches, including utility, stretch, decorative, quilting stitches, and one-step buttonholes, you’ll have the flexibility to handle a wide variety of projects with confidence. Stretch stitches make working with jersey and elastic fabrics smooth and reliable, while the LCD screen and arrow buttons keep stitch selection and adjustments clear and easy. Added conveniences like a slide speed control, start/stop button, and bright LED lighting give you more control and comfort at the machine. The bernette 37 is a dependable, easy-to-love sewing machine that removes the guesswork from stitching and lets you focus on what matters most—creating with confidence and enjoying every moment at your machine. Start/Stop Button The start/stop button gives you the freedom to sew without using the foot control, putting stitching control right at your fingertips. Simply unplug the foot pedal to activate the function, then press the button to start or pause sewing with ease. This feature is especially useful for long seams, steady stitching, or when you prefer to stand at your table for added comfort and visibility. Paired with the slide speed control, you can set a comfortable sewing pace and maintain smooth, consistent stitching throughout your project. It’s a convenient, confidence-boosting option that adapts to how you like to sew. Top Load Bobbin The top-load bobbin system makes threading quick and hassle-free, with a clear cover that lets you easily monitor your thread supply as you sew. This drop-in design helps reduce interruptions and keeps stitches running smoothly. Paired with the two-step presser foot lift, you’ll have extra clearance when working with thicker fabrics or multiple layers, making it easier to position quilts, hems, and bulky seams under the foot. Together, these features add up to a more comfortable sewing experience. Free Arm Sewing Free-arm sewing makes it easier to handle smaller, hard-to-reach areas with control and precision. By removing the accessory storage box, the machine converts to a slim free arm that’s ideal for stitching cuffs, sleeves, pant hems, and other tubular projects. This design allows fabric to rotate smoothly around the arm, helping you achieve even stitches without awkward repositioning. Whether you’re tailoring garments or finishing details, free-arm sewing adds flexibility and comfort to your workflow. Optional Extension Table An optional extension table is available to expand the sewing surface, providing extra room to support your fabric as you work. This added space is helpful for larger projects where fabric weight can pull or shift during stitching. By keeping your project level and well-supported around the needle area, the extension table helps improve accuracy and stitch consistency. It also allows fabric to glide more smoothly, making longer sewing sessions more comfortable and easier to manage. Slide Speed Control The slide speed control allows you adjust the sewing speed to suit your project and skill level. Simply slide to the right to increase speed for long seams, or slide to the left to slow things down for detailed or delicate work. This easy adjustment gives you greater control and confidence to achieve consistent results from start to finish. Semi-Automatic Bobbin Winding The built-in bobbin winder makes preparing bobbins quick and easy, so you can spend less time setting up and more time sewing. Thread the bobbin, engage the winder, and let the machine handle the rest for smooth, evenly wound bobbins to get you started on your next project. 50 Stitch Patterns The bernette 37 comes equipped with 50 built-in stitches, giving you the versatility to handle a wide range of sewing projects. This selection includes 17 utility and stretch stitches for everyday construction, repairs, and garment sewing, with stretch options that make sewing elastic and jersey fabrics smooth and reliable. You’ll also find 2 darning stitches, along with 7 quilting stitches ideal for piecing and finishing quilts. For decorative flair, 19 decorative stitches let you add personality to garments and home décor. Rounding out the stitch library are 5 one-step buttonhole styles, making it easy to achieve clean, consistent buttonholes with minimal effort. LCD Screen & Stitch Selection The LCD screen and arrow buttons make stitch selection and adjustments simple and easy to navigate. The screen clearly displays your selected stitch along with its default settings, so you always know exactly what the machine is set to sew. Using the arrow keys, you can effortlessly scroll through the 50 built-in stitches and fine-tune stitch length and width to suit your fabric and technique. This straightforward interface removes guesswork, helping you achieve more accurate results while keeping your focus on the project—not the settings. Needle Stop Up/Down The needle stop up/down setting lets you choose whether the needle stops in the up or down position when you pause sewing. Keeping the needle in the down position is especially helpful when sewing corners, as it holds the fabric securely in place while you pivot for clean, accurate turns. This feature also adds control during detailed stitching, helping you maintain perfect alignment without shifting or slipping.
