Belly Butterflies

In Belly Butterflies - Andrius Miezis transforms a familiar feeling into a kaleidoscope of color and motion. The canvas swarms with joyful, round creatures - each one a smiling sphere with wings, floating through a luminous haze of pinks, yellows, purples, and blues. They seem to embody the fluttering chaos of emotion, that light and dizzy anticipation that fills the stomach when love or excitement takes hold. Miezis’s playful imagery disguises a subtle psychological depth. These butterflies are not delicate or fleeting - they are bold, tangible, even mischievous, as if joy itself has gained mass and movement. The overlapping colors and transparent layers create a rhythm of elation, an atmosphere both whimsical and alive. In Belly Butterflies, Miezis captures the beauty of inner turbulence - that moment when feelings take flight inside us, transforming nervousness into wonder, and uncertainty into a vibrant, living dance.
