Belle Meade Bourbon Malmsey Madeira Cask Finish 750ml

Belle Meade Bourbon Madeira Cask Finish is a distinctive expression from Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery, created by finishing high quality straight bourbon in Malmsey Madeira wine casks. This finishing process adds layers of fruit richness and elegant sweetness while maintaining the classic bourbon backbone of oak, spice, and caramel. The result is a beautifully balanced whiskey that bridges traditional bourbon character with the nuanced influence of fortified wine maturation. Smooth yet complex, this bottle appeals to both seasoned bourbon enthusiasts and collectors looking for something unique and conversation worthy. Ideal for sipping neat, especially for those who enjoy richer, dessert leaning flavor profiles with depth and structure. Tasting Notes Nose: Dried fruit, caramel, toasted oak, candied orange, and light baking spice Palate: Toffee, dark cherry, fig, vanilla, and subtle wine influenced sweetness layered over classic bourbon spice Finish: Long and warming with lingering dried fruit, oak, and a touch of sweet Madeira character FAQ Q: What does Madeira cask finished mean? A: The bourbon is aged first in new American oak barrels, then finished in Madeira wine casks, which adds fruit forward sweetness and additional complexity. Q: Is this a sweet bourbon? A: It has a richer, slightly sweeter profile compared to standard bourbon due to the Madeira cask influence, but it remains balanced and not overly sugary. Q: How should I drink Belle Meade Madeira Finish? A: It is best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to highlight the layered fruit and oak notes. Q: Is this a limited release? A: Yes. Belle Meade cask finish releases are typically produced in smaller batches and may not always be available year round.
