North Sicily

Places and Passages Places and Passages is a collection of paintings inspired by the moments that stay with us long after a journey ends. More than recording a destination, these works explore memory, wonder, and the quiet ways a place can continue to shape us. Each painting is an invitation to pause, remember, and reconnect with the feeling of having been there. North Sicily North Sicily captures a hillside looking out toward the brilliant blue of the Mediterranean, with layers of cactus and soft green vegetation filling the foreground. I was drawn to the contrast between the dry, tangled landscape and that enormous stretch of blue beyond it. It holds the warmth and openness I remember from arriving in Sicily, that feeling of suddenly being surrounded by sun, color, and sea.
