Being Kind

This wisdom-filled gift book celebrates the ripple effect of kindness, reminding readers that even small, intentional acts can change someone’s day—including their own. Why does kindness matter? Because a simple act of kindness can turn ordinary words and deeds into moments of extraordinary impact. And we all have the power to uplift and encourage—to help someone feel seen and heard, or simply find their smile. Written by New York Times bestselling author Kobi Yamada and illustrated by critically acclaimed artist Charles Santoso, this all-ages picture book is a celebration of how kindness can start a wave of good feelings. Featuring artwork of a sweet sloth lending a helping hand to a cast of animal friends, this illustrated book is filled with reminders to slow down and notice the ways you can bring more compassion into the world, beginning with yourself. It’s a heartwarming invitation to be kind to someone—and to remember that you are someone too!
