Bei Bei's Lapsang Souchong Sample Box 2022

This year, we continue bringing the amazing authentic Lapsang teas from Bei Bei, Zhang's family tea farm in Mu Su, Tong Mu Village in Fu Jian. After we introduced Bei Bei's smoked and unsmoked teas, we have received many positive feedback! This year, Bei Bei's farm offered us more new varietals of unsmoked teas that we would love to introduce to you through this early bird Lapsang Souchong seasonal sample box! Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong, or Lapsang Souchong, is more than just the world's first black tea. Besides a rich history behind it, this tea itself is a cultural heritage of China. There are two types of Lapsang teas, smoked and unsmoked. Smoked is known as the traditional processing tea, while the unsmoked is the modern processing. The authentic Lapsang comes from Tong Mu village in Tong Mu Guan area in the Wu Yi Mountain range, which is the birthplace and the core production area of such tea. Ma Su is one of the 12 production teams in the area and it's located at elevation about 1200 meters. Bei Bei, Zhang is from a five generational family that owns a tea plantation and is still producing traditional Lapsang Souchong. The tea trees in her tea plantation are mostly over 100 years old and 2-3 meters tall. As the authentic smoked Lapsang tea becomes more and more scarce in China because of the local government's restriction on using the Horsetail pine, only farmers from Ton Mu Village still have limited access to it, which makes authentic traditional smoked tea very valuable. In this box, you will receive 1 smoked tea and 4 unsmoked teas (total of 42g) produced from Bei Bei's tea plantation in Ma Su: -Old Bush Smoked Lapsang Souchong 7g Robust, full body, smoky, woody, floral, salted caramel, malty -Unsmoked Peachy Lapsang 14g (Our favorite!)
