Digital Behavior Modification Workbook | Expanded Edition

Digital Download Behavioral Modification Chart Dear Parents, Guardians, Grandparents, Teachers, and Caregivers, Behavior is both a powerful word and an action that affects you, others, and the world around you. It is something that is either learned or developed unconsciously without recognition or understanding of how the action may impact others.  Various behaviors may or may not be noticed by strangers, loved ones, or even ourselves.  They are consciously and subconsciously cultivated from the time we are born and are partially shaped through positive and negative influences. When we work hard to become aware of and recognize our good and bad behaviors, we grow as individuals.  I’ve created this workbook to help!  This useful tool includes a list of behaviors that children can learn to identify within themselves, encouraging their development and achievement of milestones.  It’s also helpful for co-parenting amongst separated or divorced couples.  If they don’t share a babysitter or caregiver for their children, it’s a great way for moms and dads to stay on the same page regarding their kids. Some little ones are visual learners who absorb more when they can see and track their progress.  This fun, interactive workbook enables them to do exactly that.  By creating a reward system with prizes attached to their achievements and growth, you can boost their retention of the information they’re learning. As you move through this educational resource, you will find a common theme of consistency and communication.  I’d like to see you set aside some time to go over your child’s daily practices.  Teachers can use this to maintain communication with students regarding their progress.  Additionally, there is a section within the workbook where parents and teachers can communicate with each other through handwritten notes. Parents, teachers, caregivers, guardians, and grandparents can positively reinforce whatever behavior they hope to teach or change by noting progress in this workbook and placing check marks in the boxes next to the desired behavior in the aforementioned list.  Alternatively, you can add your own sticker to the box or present children with the supplemental Bacci Coins or positive reinforcement affirmation when he/she/they/ze has mastered the goal.  For your convenience, I’ve included a worksheet for documenting positive affirmations said, new vocabulary, open-ended questions asked, and children’s answers. Throughout this fun adventure, we’ll also learn about mindfulness and responsibility.  As we watch Bacci doing his chores and achieving his daily goals, we feel inspired to do the same.  This helps us establish consistent parenting, facilitates bonding with the children in your care, and improves and strengthens family dynamics.  In this way, children can healthily balance their home life, school, daycare, and extracurricular activities.  Essentially, it promotes a cohesive and fluid transition between their daily activities and being at home.  It keeps parents, guardians, teachers, grandparents, and caregivers abreast of kids’ daily behaviors, interactions, and accomplishments. I designed this behavior modification workbook to help families and educators guide children in creating a mental and physical “safe place” where they can identify, analyze, and change existing behaviors.  It’s a place where they can feel comfortable adopting new, positive behaviors in a transformative way.  It is not intended to substitute for mental health treatment.  If any concerns arise as you go through the exercise, please inform the child’s parents or legal guardians immediately if you are not one of them. One of the greatest things about this workbook is that it is an effective communication tool, a go-between for adults and kids.  It empowers parents, guardians, teachers, and caregivers to take more interest in their children’s lives and personalities.  Please remember to have fun while you approach this activity with an open mind and consistency, as this ensures the best possible results.  Although every kid is different and there are no guarantees, this tool could be a critical first step in developing the trust that leads to important and meaningful discussion. Smiles and positive reinforcement go a long way here.  Be sure to do these things consistently and immediately after the desired behavior has happened.  You can be their biggest cheerleader, rooting them on to their success and helping them stay motivated and on track with their tasks.  By staying calm when undesired behaviors come out, you’ll be able to redirect their efforts, nurture their resilience, and praise them when they do a good job making the effort. When interacting with your child during these exercises, please maintain eye contact with them.  Feel free to crouch down to their height so as not to be towering over them as you speak.  Coming down to their level makes them feel good and helps them be more open to accepting the information you’re teaching them. My biggest hope is that this workbook helps you and your child or children achieve positive changes in his/her/their/ze behavior.  Thanks to the many observations I’ve made amongst little ones throughout my career, I’ve compiled a list of behaviors that are challenging for many children to achieve.  The lessons inherent in this tool can reach far beyond home life, bringing much value to socialization in daycare and school settings, sleepovers with friends and relatives, and so much more. I’m wishing you all the best in your behavior modification journey.  I hope you will enjoy the process together!  Remember that the more fun you have, the more likely the lessons are to stick.  And because practice makes perfect, the more you work at it, the sooner you will see some changes in the children in your care and yourself, too.  The overarching goal here encompasses the past, present, and future.  By acknowledging our current behaviors, we can change our past behaviors, so that they can positively shape the ones we want to uphold in the future.
