Begonia Rex-Cultorum 'Geometry'

Begonia Rex-Cultorum 'Geometry' is a Painted Leaf Begonia, part of the Rex Cultorum group grown almost entirely for its foliage rather than its flowers. Each asymmetrical leaf carries a bold, high-contrast pattern that makes this cultivar a standout among the more than 4,000 named Rex Begonia hybrids. It grows as a dense, shallow-rooted, rhizomatous perennial reaching roughly 12 to 18 inches tall and wide, and it prefers being slightly snug in its pot. This is a different plant from the flowering wax or tuberous begonias sold for hanging baskets and beds: Rex types are grown for leaf pattern first, with flowers a secondary feature. Hang it where indirect light can play across the foliage and its pattern really shows.
