Beers Black Fig

The Beers Black Fig (Ficus carica 'Beers Black') is a remarkable fruit-bearing plant known for its delectable and sweet figs. This deciduous shrub or small tree is an excellent addition to gardens, offering not only delicious fruits but also ornamental value with its attractive foliage. It features large, dark green, lobed leaves that provide a lush and tropical appearance. The figs themselves are medium-sized, purplish-black, and boast a rich, sweet flavor. The fruit has a smooth skin and a succulent, honey-like interior, making it a favorite among fig enthusiasts. It is perfect for fresh consumption, drying, or using in culinary delights. The Beers Black typically ripens in late summer to early fall. Most fig varieties, including the Beers Black, are self-pollinating. However, planting multiple trees can enhance fruit production. Typically growing to a height of 4 to 6 feet, the Beers Black Fig is a compact plant, making it suitable for both small and large gardens. Its spreading habit contributes to a well-rounded and visually appealing canopy. It thrives in USDA hardiness zones 7 to 10, making it well-suited for mild to warm climates. Figs can be single trunk to multi-trunked trees.  Fig Tree Planting And Care Shipping Information Please feel free to email us at info@mayagardensinc.com if you would like more information prior to making a purchase decision.
