Farmer Soul Bee Pollen Granules are exactly what the bees brought back to the hive — nothing added, nothing taken out. Look closely and you'll see the granules aren't one color. Pale yellow, gold, tan, rust, a few nearly black. Each pellet is pollen from a different bloom, packed by a single bee on a single foraging trip. That range is what tells you it's real pollen from a working hive rather than a uniform processed product. Why bee pollen Almost nothing in a modern kitchen is unprocessed. Flour is milled, oil is extracted, sugar is refined — even honey is usually filtered and heated. Bee pollen is one of the few foods that arrives the way it left. Worker bees pack pollen from flowers into pellets on their hind legs and carry it home. A trap at the hive entrance brushes a small portion of it loose. That's the entire process. Nobody heats it, presses it, or takes anything out. People have eaten it for thousands of years, and across much of Europe and Central Asia it's still an ordinary pantry item rather than a novelty. The traditional way to eat it is the simple one: a spoonful over breakfast, or a few granules on their own. We won't tell you what it will do for you. We'll tell you what it is, and suggest you start small. Taste and texture Dry, slightly chalky granules that soften as you chew. Faintly sweet up front, a little floral, with a bitter edge on the finish. It tastes like the inside of a flower, which is more or less what it is. Some people love it straight away; some need it mixed into something. How to use it Spoon over yogurt, oatmeal, or cut fruit Blend into a smoothie Scatter across toast with honey or nut butter Eat a few granules on their own Don't cook with it. Heat changes the texture and the flavor turns harsh.
