Based on a historic Pewabic design, our charming bee necklace makes the perfect accessory. During the Great Depression, Pewabic Co-Founder Mary Chase Perry Stratton pivoted her focus to small vessels and jewelry that directly inspired our current collection.   Animal forms such as this were created for consignment, primarily to a gallery in New York during World War II. Once our pendants are handcrafted by Pewabic artisans, they are taken to the creative designers at Rebel Nell who finish the process by adding sterling silver, adjustable chains. Started in 2013, Rebel Nell‘s mission is to provide employment, equitable opportunity, and wraparound support for women with barriers to employment through their jewelry designs.
