Lower mattress on vintage bed frame Size Height: 3-1/2" Extends: 3-1/2" Thickness: 1/4" Width: 1-1/4" Requires #14 Screws  Mounting screws not-included as screw length depends on specific use. Bed Spring Supports enable box spring and mattress to be lowered. Correctly positioning mattress and spring improves the overall appearance of a bed.   Position according to preferred mattress height. Use on beds with wooden side rails. Spring Supports are very sturdy, made of steel. Height is 3-1/2".  Attach to wood side rails with screws. Screws are not included as length of screw is determined by thickness of bed rail. Install Guidelines for Average Bed Recommended: use 8 spring supports for average bed. 3 supports on each side rail, 1 support for head rail and 1 support for foot rail. Measure distance from top of bed rail to "desired" bottom of box spring. Mount supports to interior of wooden bed-rails with #14 wood-screws. Screw Size: #14 not included as length may vary according to thickness of bed rails. Position so that: support is holding box spring at your predetermined height.
