Becoming - Gentle Boldness - Freshwater pearl

Becoming Gentle Boldness Feel the gentleness of this golden iridescent beige mixed with the bold burgundy brown color of the smaller pearls. Although the size is delicate, there is a boldness and conviction to the color combination. Pearls can only be found by opening the oyster or muscle, similarly, when you wear pearls you are opening to find your true self - to becoming your authentic self. You are always becoming, moving forward into the next stage of life, pearls help you stay tuned to the ebb and flow, the tides and the lunar cycles moving forward calmly and from a place of balance. Deepen your connection to your goddess self, your deepest, wisest feminine nature and find your connection to the wisdom you have gained by experience. Wearing pearls enhances your personal integrity, truth, loyalty and reminds you that everything will turn out okay. Pearls are formed when mollusk creates a defense against threatening irritant or attack. The peal becomes strong and beautiful, as do we when we allow ourselves to grow and become who and what we are meant to be.  Cultured Pearl, Gold-fill Toggle clasp and round beads Length 18” Earrings 1.5” – Pearl & Gold-fill This collection was inspired by and created while listening to Michelle Obama read her autobiography “Becoming”. Michelle Obama says at the end of her book, “I’m still in progress and hope I always will be. For me, becoming isn’t about arriving somewhere or achieving a certain aim I see it instead as forward motion, a means of evolving, a way to reach continuously towards a better self. The journey doesn’t end….. It’s all a process, steps along a path. Becoming requires equal part patience and rigor. Becoming is never giving up on the idea that there is more growing to be done…. Let’s invite one another in, maybe then we can begin to fear less, to make fewer wrong assumptions, to let go of the biases and stereotypes that unnecessarily divide us. Maybe we can better embrace the ways we are the same. It’s not about being perfect. It’s not about where you get yourself in the end there’s power in allowing yourself to be known and heard, in owning your unique story and using your authentic voice and there’s grace in being willing to know and hear others, this for me is how we become.” Michelle Obama
