Beadhead Flashback Pheasant Tail

The Beadhead Flashback Pheasant Tail combines the proven fish-catching profile of the classic Pheasant Tail with a reflective flashback wingcase and weighted beadhead for maximum subsurface performance. Natural pheasant tail fibers deliver the slim, segmented silhouette that trout associate with mayfly nymphs and a range of aquatic insects, while the flashback adds a subtle glint that mimics the gas bubble of an emerging insect. The beadhead gets the fly down fast and introduces a natural jigging action on the drift that brings the pattern to life. A go-to nymph for clear water conditions and mayfly hatches, the Beadhead Flashback Pheasant Tail also holds its own as a year-round searching pattern in deeper runs and faster currents where a standard Pheasant Tail can't reach the strike zone. The combination of weight, flash, and natural materials gives it enough attraction to pull fish from a distance without sacrificing the realism that fools them up close. An essential upgrade to one of fly fishing's most trusted designs.
