BD Diesel 1036772 Electronic Positive Air Shutdown

Like a fire extinguisher in your house, or an earthquake kit, it's always better to be prepared. Although rare, Diesel Engine Runaway is caused when external hydrocarbons are drawn into the engine and can cause overspeeding and catastrophic engine failure. Life, limb and your vehicle are put in jeopardy. BD Diesel Performance has you covered should the worst happen with our Electronic Positive Air Shutdown (E-PAS) units by cutting the intake air supply to the cylinders and safely shutting down the engine. The E-PAS controls the electronic throttle body in the intake manifold found on most late model diesel engines by closing it to shut off the air supply in emergency situations. The E-PAS can be easily installed in less than 2 hours with factory plug-in connectors and pre-made wiring harnesses. Automatically resets itself after shutdown and can be easily removed for truck lease returns. Features: Engine-specific purpose-built kit Uses factory connectors, sensors and intake valve Automatically resets after shut down (Might need to clear engine codes manually) Safely turns off the engine if over speeding The kit requires only basic tools to install Includes window decal to show that the EPAS system is installed Complies with guidelines such as Clause 5.1 (i), CSA B622-14 and CSA-B622 Vehicle Applications: 2017-2023 Heavy Duty Volvo D13 & Mack MP8 SPECIFICATIONS Fuel Type Diesel Warranty on Parts 24 Months / 24,000 Miles Prop 65 WARNING: Cancer & Reproductive Harm - P65Warnings.ca.gov
