BBQ Becky Candle

In April 2018, Jennifer Schulte, notoriously nicknamed "BBQ Becky," sparked outrage when she was filmed calling the police on two Black men grilling in a designated barbecue area. Their supposed crime? Barbecuing while Black. Our BBQ Becky Candle is a nod to this infamous moment, designed to channel the power of banishment for dealing with meddlesome individuals who thrive on intolerance and disruption. Whether it’s nosy neighbors or someone causing trouble out of sheer prejudice, light this candle with intention and let its energy help you clear the path of negativity. While the name is tongue-in-cheek, the work is serious. Crafted with traditional Southern folk magic practices in mind, this candle is infused with ingredients chosen for their power to aid in banishing and warding off unwanted energies. Use it as part of any ritual for banishment or protection and reclaim your space with purpose and resolve. Our glass-encased candles will burn for approximately seven days or 120 hours. They can be reused once they have burned down as vases for holding flowers, turned into a container spell to keep on your altar or refilled with wax to burn again. They are simply too beautiful to throw away and the creative conjurer will find many possibilities for using the decorative glass container once the original wax has burned down. 2 1/2" Wide and 8 1/4" Tall Burns approximately 120 hours Lead-free wicks 100% highly refined paraffin wax with herbs, roots, spices and essential oils melted into the top Made in the U.S.A.
