These bookmarks serve as a valuable tool for personal study and reflection, reminding believers of the comforting promise of eternal life with the Lord. When the apostle Paul wrote to the church in Thessalonica, he didn't want them to be uninformed about those who had died, referred to as "fallen asleep." He urged Christians not to grieve like those without hope but to find comfort in knowing that if we believe Jesus died and rose again, God will bring with Him those who have died in Christ. Paul explains that those who are in Christ and are alive at Jesus' return will not precede those who have died in Christ. When Jesus descends with a shout, the voice of the archangel, and the trumpet of God, the dead in Christ will rise first. Then, those who are in Christ who are alive and remaining will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, so then all those in Christ will be with the Lord forever. Paul emphasizes comforting one another with these words, providing hope and assurance for all believers. Features: Size Available: 2 x 6 inches. Double-Sided Design: One side features the passage from 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, where Paul provides comfort concerning those who have died in Christ: "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 KJV). The other side reinforces this promise with a focus on the resurrection: "The dead in Christ shall rise first..." (1 Thessalonians 4:16 KJV). Inspiring Verses: Each side includes scripture and messages to encourage and inspire.
