Using a lid as a mount requires you to destroy a perfectly good box and rely on thin plastic tabs to hold your weight. The BOCO Locking Mount for Bauer Toolboxes is a true steel foundation that won't flex or crack, protecting your investment and your tools. Can I mount this to a van floor or truck bed? Absolutely. This plate is engineered for multi-orientation use. Its 12-gauge steel construction is designed to handle the vibration and shifting of mobile workshop environments, providing far more security than "hacked" plastic solutions. Does this require special hardware? The plate is designed for versatility. While specs mention 1/4" bolts, many users find that a 5/16" carriage bolt provides an even more secure, tamper-resistant fit for wood or metal surfaces. Perfect for: Service vans, enclosed trailers, and high-security workshop organization.
