Bauer Fly-X Steel (Silver) – Performance Runners

Bauer FLY-X Runner The Bauer FLY-X Runner represents a major leap in steel technology. Engineered with a high-grade core and Bauer's "Iconic Brushed Finish," this steel is designed to maximize edge retention and glide. Its unique hyperbolic geometry improves the connection between the steel and the holder, creating a stiffer, more responsive feel during aggressive turns. Key Features Hyperbolic Geometry – Designed with a stiffer spine to improve blade connectivity and energy transfer. High-Grade Core Materials – Premium steel construction ensures durability and long-lasting performance. Brushed Finish – A traditional, high-quality finish that provides smooth edges and excellent glide. Dual Compatibility – Fits both the new Bauer POWERFLY holder and the classic TUUK LIGHTSPEED EDGE holder. Profiling Ready – Features a center balance point and ruler gauge laser-etched directly onto the steel to assist with custom profiling. Best For Competitive players looking for performance and stability. Skaters upgrading to the new Powerfly holder system. Players who want premium steel quality without the price tag of titanium-coated options. The Sharpening Dude setup tip The FLY-X runners come with a standard 10' profile, but the real magic is the laser-etched ruler gauge on the side. This makes applying a custom profile (like a Quad or Zuperior) much more precise. Note: Even though these are high-end runners, they are not "ice-ready" out of the box. They require a cross-grind and finish sharpening to set your edges perfectly.
