Batman: Three Jokers #3A (DC Comics 2020)

This issue delivers the definitive conclusion to DC’s 2020 Three Jokers event, wrapping up Geoff Johns’ narrative investigation alongside interior artwork and packaging finished by Jason Fabok. Spanning exactly 48 full-color pages, the script advances the tactical standoff between Batman, Batgirl, and Red Hood against three distinct versions of the clown prince of crime. Rather than relying on supernatural retcons, the writing treats the antagonists as separate criminal entities operating across different Gotham eras. This structural choice forces each hero to adjust their investigative methods, combat style, and moral thresholds. Published under the mature readers imprint, the volume contains explicit violence, psychological tension, and complex ethical dilemmas calibrated for established comic collectors and new adult readers alike. The layout follows standard direct-market paneling conventions, ensuring smooth visual flow despite the dense dialogue and intricate background detail. New buyers should note that this release stands alone as the third and final chapter of a continuous story arc. Those tracking the publication will need issues number 1 and 2 to follow the chronological timeline, though this edition resolves the central conspiracy independently. The 48-page thickness aligns with industry-standard longbox dimensions, fitting comfortably inside 6-by-9.75-inch archival poly sleeves and cardboard backing boards. Because the plot threads remain active throughout the trilogy, purchasing this exact print run preserves canonical continuity for future DC storylines and maintains complete shelf consistency.
