Batman: The Adventures Continue #7A (DC Comics 2020)

Crafted by original animation architects Alan Burnett and Paul Dini, this 32-page full-color issue delivers a direct continuation of DCAU-character dynamics with Jason Todd’s Red Hood strategy threatening Tim Drake’s safety. Published by DC Comics in 2020, the storyline forces Batman into a calculated crossroads: eliminate The Joker to safeguard his current Robins, or intercept a fallen vigilante executing a multi-stage kidnapping scheme. Ty Templeton handles interior penciling and inking, preserving the clean panel layouts and precise action choreography known from the classic broadcast run. Becky Cloonan provides the exterior cover, illustrating the immediate tactical confrontation between the two hooded figures. Scripts: Alan Burnett and Paul Dini apply decades of shared character development to dialogue-driven scenes and shifting loyalty arcs Production Specs: 32 pages printed fully colored, rated T+ for older teen and adult audiences Roster Tracking: Features focused narratives on Batman, Robin (Tim Drake), Jason Todd, and The Joker operating under established psychological frameworks Distribution Notes: Direct-market retailers typically receive fixed print allocations per title, so securing individual issue copies supports long-form collecting goals Readers looking for a bridge between nostalgic tonal consistency and modern serialized plotting will find the script emphasizes interrogation pressure and strategic misdirection rather than prolonged battle sequences. The creative pairing ensures consistent voice acting translation to prose, making the reading pace align closely with cinematic episode structures.
