Batman: Death Mask #1 (DC Comics 2008)

Experience the first American comic adaptation of a complete Batman mystery from acclaimed Japanese mangaka Yoshinori Natsume. Released through DC Comics in 2008, this volume launches a four-part prestige series that applies authentic manga pacing and layout conventions to Gotham City’s underworld. Storyline & Detective Focus The case opens with a ruthless serial killer striking Gotham’s elite, leaving behind clues that trace directly to Bruce Wayne’s clandestine martial arts training abroad. As the Dark Knight tracks the suspect across multiple districts, the investigation forces Batman to confront whether his dual identity has been exposed. The narrative prioritizes methodical clue assembly and psychological tension over action set pieces.
