Bat Buddies Quilt Pattern

Bat Buddies Quilt Pattern features sweet and spooky bats flying beneath the moon for a playful Halloween or year-round nature-inspired quilt. This intermediate pattern makes a 60" x 69" throw quilt with bat blocks and smaller branches made using foundation paper-piecing, while the rest of the quilt top is traditionally pieced. The charming bats have expressive little faces, wings in motion, and just the right mix of cute and creepy for seasonal décor, kids’ rooms, or anyone who loves these fascinating nighttime flyers. A soft moon and branch details complete the scene, giving the finished quilt a whimsical storybook feel. Designed for quilters comfortable with foundation paper piecing, Bat Buddies includes master copies of each foundation paper template that can be duplicated as needed. The throw size uses 4 yards of background fabric, 4 yards of backing, and 5/8 yard of binding, plus fabrics for the bats, branches, and moon. This pattern is a wonderful way to play with moody backgrounds, bold bat silhouettes, and bright accent colors for the faces and details. Please note that general foundation paper piecing instructions are not included.
