Bat 270 Awning

The Eezi-Awn Bat 270 Awning delivers 270 degrees of freestanding coverage around your vehicle — over 80 ft² — deployed solo in under a minute. Four triangular panels wrap from the side to the rear of the vehicle, with three of the four rafter arms featuring swing-out, height-adjustable legs for stability in varied terrain and wind conditions. Built from 260 gram waterproof ripstop canvas with a 700 gram UV-resistant PVC cover, and made at Eezi-Awn's Johannesburg facility. Available in Grey or Beige for left (driver) or right (passenger) side mounting. SPECIFICATIONS Coverage: 80 ft² (7.5 m²) Weight: 46 lbs (21 kg) Open Dimensions: (4) Triangular Panels — 95" × 82" × 82" each (2400mm × 2100mm × 2100mm) Closed Dimensions: 95" L × 4" W × 5.25" H (2400mm × 100mm × 150mm) Leg Height (Fully Extended): 92" (2300mm) Orientation: Left (Driver Side) or Right (Passenger Side) Awning Material: 260 gram Waterproof Ripstop Canvas Cover Material: Black, 700 gram UV-Resistant Heavy Duty PVC Color Options: Grey or Beige Origin: Johannesburg, South Africa Note: Freestanding in no wind conditions. Staking down at the base of legs in an X pattern is strongly recommended at all times. KEY FEATURES 270° Wrap-Around Coverage: Four triangular panels deploy from the side and around the rear of the vehicle — covering the cooking area, camp chairs, and gear access zone simultaneously from a single mount point. Three-Leg Stability System: Three of the four rafter arms feature swing-out, height-adjustable legs, giving the Bat 270 more ground contact than most 270° awnings and meaningfully better resistance to wind without staking. Enhanced Hinge Mechanism: Features an updated extruded black powder-coated hinge — more durable than the previous design and capable of withstanding stronger winds with legs retracted. Solo One-Minute Deployment: The full 80 ft² structure deploys and stows by one person in under 60 seconds — no secondary support needed during setup. 260 Gram Waterproof Ripstop Canvas: The same canopy spec used across the Bat, Manta, Dragonfly, and Swift — waterproof, UV-resistant, and built for extended expedition use. 700 Gram UV-Resistant PVC Cover: Heavyweight tonneau-grade bag protects the awning during travel and extends canopy life on vehicles with high trail mileage. Wall Set Compatible: The Bat 270 Wall Set (sold separately) encloses the full 270° footprint into a standing-height private shelter with one door and two windows. IDEAL FOR Base camp setups for two to four people where coverage around the rear cooking and dining area is the primary need. Extended overlanding trips where 80 ft² of weather-protected space is used for cooking, gear management, and relaxation simultaneously. Builds where a Manta 270 is too large or too heavy — the Bat 270 delivers the same 270° geometry at a slightly smaller footprint and lower weight. Overlanders who prioritize wall set compatibility — the Bat 270 Wall Set turns this into the most capable enclosed shelter system in the standard Eezi-Awn bag awning line. IN THE BOX Bat 270 Awning (canopy, PVC cover, rafter arms, and adjustable legs) Additional mounting hardware may be required depending on your roof rack. The Bat 270 Wall Set is available separately. COMPATIBILITY Bat/Manta/Swift/Lite/Dragonfly Awning Mount (sold separately). It is natively compatible with the Eezi-Awn K9 Roof Rack. Orientation (Left/Driver or Right/Passenger) must be selected at purchase — choose the side of the vehicle where the awning will be mounted. The Bat 270 Wall Set is available separately.
