Basstrix SurfTrix 125 Jerk Baits

Basstrix built the SurfTrix 125 for exactly the water we fish: the Southern California surf and inshore zone. It's a 125mm (4.9"), 5/8 oz floating jerkbait that casts a mile off the sand and swims with a tight body roll and subtle shimmy — the lifelike, twitch-and-pause action that draws strikes in clear or stained water. An internal weight-transfer system slides weight to the tail on the cast for real distance, then shifts forward to balance the bait through the retrieve. It dives 1–3 feet, holding right in the strike zone where surf perch, halibut, and corbina feed. The detail that sets it apart: two premium Owner® saltwater hooks instead of the usual three. Fewer hooks means fewer casting tangles and less leverage for a thrashing fish to throw the bait — without giving up hookups. Every color wears the same high-definition baitfish finish that made Basstrix soft plastics a SoCal staple.
