Baskin [Blu-ray]

“AN OTHERWORLDY, UNSETTLING  DESCENT INTO HELL… Can Evrenol’s debut feature is a deranged, visceral film that will sear its way into your subconscious.” Oh, The Horror! 3+ HOURS OF SPECIAL FEATURES Anyone who’s seen it knows it’s “a shocking tale straight out of hell” (Bloody Disgusting). Those yet to experience it “may forget it’s only a movie” (rogerebert.com). Either way, nothing will prepare you for the “genuinely nightmarish and horribly beautiful” (Time Out) debut feature from Turkish writer/director Can Evrenol: When a 5-man police squad is lured into a realm where torment, depravity and damnation are the only law, they’ll become prisoners of an abyss from which there may be no mortal escape. This “orgiastic Black Mass of stylized revulsion” (The Hollywood Reporter) now hits harder than ever with 3+ hours of Special Features that include a behind-the-scenes documentary, 10-years-later retrospective, Evrenol’s original short film and much more.
