Born in NYC and raised in Aix-en-Provence, France, Danny Kaplan’s passion for ceramics was shaped by early exposure to the traditional pottery of the region. As a former prop stylist turned ceramicist, Kaplan creates ceramic lighting and accent pieces using tactile glazes that allow him to create special pieces intended for use every day. Danny Kaplan's comfortable handcrafted Basket Chair is a statement piece ceramic chair that functions as practical yet artistic seating. This Basket Chair, reminiscent of ancient French pottery in a modern silhouette, is a fully functional and comfortable seat. Crafted to order in Brooklyn, New York. This piece is made to order.
