Reef Saver Rock - Per Pound - MarcoRocks

Build a stunning, sustainable reef with MarcoRocks Reef Saver Rock—our most popular and eco-conscious aquascaping choice. Harvested from ancient, fossil-rich reef deposits on land, this calcium carbonate rock is not only safe for your aquarium but also harmless to today’s ocean ecosystems.   Why Choose Reef Saver Rock? Sustainable & Eco-Friendly Collected from dry, fossilized reef beds—not the ocean—this rock offers a zero-impact solution for building your reef tank. No marine life is harmed in the process. Easy to Aquascape The natural shapes interlock beautifully, making it ideal for crafting dramatic, stable structures. Whether you’re new to reefing or a seasoned aquascaper, Reef Saver Rock makes the process intuitive and enjoyable. Pest-Free & Clean Since it’s not taken from a live reef, there’s no risk of introducing unwanted pests, algae, or pathogens. Each piece is cleaned with no chemicals, ensuring a pure start to your aquarium. Highly Porous for Filtration Its natural porosity provides abundant surface area for beneficial bacteria, promoting efficient biological filtration and a healthier tank ecosystem.   How Much Rock Should You Use?   We recommend 1 pound of Reef Saver Rock per gallon of aquarium volume as a starting point. For more elaborate aquascapes, consider adding extra rock—you can always use it in your sump or refugium for added filtration.   Rock is naturally fragile and some breakage may occur during shipping. While we inspect and securely pack each box, carrier handling is beyond our control. Shipping insurance does not cover breakage, so we cannot offer replacements
