Bart Pouf and Footstool

The Moooi Bart Pouf and Footstool are the supporting players in the Bart collection that actually pull more weight than you'd expect from what are essentially cushioned ottomans. Designed by Moooi Works to complement the Bart Sofa and Armchair, they share that same Rococo-inspired aesthetic with rounded shapes and soft curves - but stripped down to their most essential form. The wooden frame wrapped in foam and dacron gives them enough structure to function as actual seating when you need extra spots during gatherings, not just footrests that collapse the moment someone sits on them. Available in the same massive range of over 664 fabrics and leathers as the rest of the Bart family, so you can match them perfectly to your existing pieces or mix things up with contrasting colors and textures if you want more visual interest. What makes these more versatile than typical poufs is how they work both as part of the collection and as standalone pieces. Paired with the Bart Armchair, the footstool turns regular seating into full lounging mode - legs up, properly relaxed, the way furniture's supposed to work. The pouf functions as flexible seating that you can move around easily, extra surface space for trays or books, or even impromptu side table duty when you need it. The rounded proportions keep them from looking awkward floating in a room, and the construction feels substantial enough for daily use without worrying about them getting flattened or losing shape. They bring that "friendly grandeur" the Bart family is known for without the commitment or footprint of larger furniture pieces, which works well for smaller spaces or people who want that opulent Rococo vibe in smaller doses. Moooi operates out of the Netherlands with their in-house Moooi Works team handling designs like the Bart collection, bringing over a decade of experience in translating historical references into contemporary furniture that actually functions well. The collaboration between their product development professionals results in pieces that maintain design integrity while being engineered for real-world use. Founded by Marcel Wanders and Casper Vissers, the brand's known for creating furniture that adds character to spaces without demanding perfection from your lifestyle. They work with quality materials and construction methods that back up the visual appeal with durability - proper frames, quality foam, upholstery that holds up over years of use rather than looking tired after a few months.
