Barr Hill Reserve Tom Cat Gin

Barr Hill Reserve Tom Cat Gin is a distinctive barrel-aged Old Tom gin crafted by Vermont-based Caledonia Spirits. Starting with Barr Hill's signature gin made from juniper and raw wildflower honey, the spirit is aged in new American oak barrels, creating a rich and complex expression that bridges the gap between gin and whiskey.  The nose opens with aromas of oak, honey, juniper, vanilla, and warm baking spices. On the palate, notes of caramel, toasted oak, wildflower honey, and gentle spice are complemented by subtle juniper and citrus undertones. The barrel aging imparts a smooth, whiskey-like character while preserving the botanical essence of gin. The finish is long, warm, and layered with hints of vanilla, spice, and honey sweetness. Unlike traditional London Dry gins, Tom Cat is designed to be enjoyed neat, over ice, or in spirit-forward cocktails such as a Martinez, Negroni, or Old Fashioned-style serve. Its unique combination of oak, honey, and botanicals makes it a favorite among both gin enthusiasts and whiskey drinkers.  Among gin enthusiasts, Tom Cat is often regarded as one of the benchmark barrel-aged gins, praised for its rich oak influence, honeyed sweetness, and exceptional sipping quality.
