Barr Hill Gin 8 x 50ml

Barr Hill Gin, in the 8 (eight) x 50 ml "airirplane-sized" bottles format, is a distinctive American craft gin with a bright, lightly floral character and a gentle, honeyed warmth that sets it apart from classic London dry styles. Anchored by juniper and enlivened with citrus and herbal notes, its subtle sweetness and smooth texture make it a polished choice both for sipping and for elevated cocktails. Origins & Craftsmanship Barr Hill Gin is produced by Caledonia Spirits in Montpelier, Vermont, a craft distillery known for its terroir-driven approach and use of local ingredients. What immediately sets Barr Hill apart is its signature botanical: raw wildflower honey sourced from hives managed by the distillery’s own apiary program. This honey serves both as a botanical and a finishing element, imparting a soft, rounded sweetness and a subtle floral complexity that differentiates it from more austere gins. The gin is distilled from a neutral grain spirit with a carefully curated botanical lineup including juniper (the core defining gin botanical), coriander, angelica root, citrus peels, and the honey itself. The honey is added at two stages—during distillation and in small measure as a finish—creating a layered profile where botanical brightness and honeyed weight coexist in harmony. Bottled at a balanced 42% ABV, Barr Hill Gin offers body and aromatic presence without heaviness. Tasting Profile Nose: Juniper and lemon peel rise immediately, underscored by fresh wildflower honey and soft herbal aromatics. A hint of coriander and angelica root adds spice-leaf nuance, while the honey imparts a subtle floral sweetness. Palate: Smooth and approachable, opening with bright citrus and juniper, then unfolding into honey- kissed mid-notes. Botanical spice (coriander, nutmeg-like warmth) and light herbal hints build complexity without dominating. The honey doesn’t come off as heavy sugar—more like soft nectar wrapped into the botanical fabric. Finish: Medium before tapering into delicate floral and citrus echoes. The honeyed quality lingers as a gentle warmth rather than sweetness, leaving a dry, clean close with subtle herb and spice memory.
