The specimen features a pristine, lustrous, transparent amber-colored Barite crystal (2.5 cm) on a matrix of Limestone and miniature golden Calcite crystals. There are another half-dozen smaller Barite crystals throughout the piece. I am a huge fan of fine crystals on matrix specimens, and this one is superb - great contrast, luster, crystal formation and symmetry! In excellent condition. Location: Elk Creek, Meade County, South Dakota, USA Size: 9 x 5 x 7 cm
