Bare Sight

Bare Sight redefines what it means to be seen. This 16x20 textile-based piece features an abstract eye crafted entirely from hand-cut fabric. The eyelid is layered with tiny floral triangles, arranged like soft eyeshadow — a quiet nod to beauty and femininity, even without enhancement. At the center, a bold touch of metallic gold draws focus, while pinks, blues, peaches, and oranges ripple outward, forming the rest of the eye with warmth and dimension. With no lashes, the eye remains powerful in its simplicity, inviting the viewer to reconsider what defines beauty. This artwork honors quiet strength and vibrant identity in one textured, color-rich composition.
