This thorny, yellow flowered shrub was brought to the U.S. in the 1860’s as an ornamental. How many of us remember the hedges grown around many a house, with their bright red berries that came each autumn? Though the berries and stems can also be used as food, it is the root that we use to prepare this extract. Recommended Dosage: 10-30 drops OR 1/8-1/4 tsp, 2-3 times per day in juice or water.  *Please note our recommended dosage may differ from other sources. *This statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
