Bar Harbor Juniper

Bar Harbor Juniper: Stay Green, Stay Grounded Bar Harbor Juniper is a rugged, low-growing evergreen that delivers year-round color with almost no fuss. Its dense, spreading habit quickly fills bare spaces, making it an excellent choice for ground cover, rock gardens, slopes, borders, and mass plantings. Soft blue-green foliage provides year-round texture before developing rich purple tones in fall and winter, creating seasonal interest long after many plants have gone dormant. Small bluish berries appear in late summer, adding subtle ornamental appeal while attracting birds and other wildlife. This hardy evergreen is exceptionally low maintenance, requiring only occasional light pruning in late spring if shaping is desired. Deer resistance and excellent cold hardiness make it a reliable landscape performer for a wide range of climates.  Why You'll Love the Bar Harbor Juniper Low-growing evergreen ideal for ground cover and erosion control Hardy in USDA Zones 3-9 Beautiful blue-green foliage turns purple in fall and winter Spreads 6-8 feet at maturity while staying only 1-2 feet tall Thrives in poor, sandy, rocky, and dry soils Excellent drought, wind, and salt tolerance Deer-resistant and exceptionally cold hardy Perfect for slopes, rock gardens, borders, mass plantings, and coastal landscapes Produces bluish berries that attract birds and wildlife Easy-care plant requiring minimal pruning and maintenance Cover more ground with lasting color—plant Bar Harbor Juniper and enjoy a tough, beautiful evergreen that works hard in every season.
