Husqvarna Bar Adjustment Worm Screw 537397001 | Chain Tensioner Gear | New

Husqvarna Bar Adjustment Worm Screw | Part #537397001 | Chain Tensioner Gear | NewThis is the genuine Husqvarna worm screw, the threaded gear that drives the bar adjustment pin when you turn the chain tensioner. It is a small part that strips or seizes and then leaves you unable to tension the chain at all. Husqvarna lists it across a wide run of gas and battery chainsaws, so it is a good one to keep on the shelf. Specifications Part Number: 537397001 Brand: Husqvarna Husqvarna Description: Worm Screw (bar adjustment gear) Function: Drives the bar adjustment pin in the chain tensioning mechanism Also Known As: Cataloged under Jonsered, RedMax, Poulan, and Electrolux/AYP using the same number, 537397001 Condition: New Key Features Restores chain tensioning When the tensioner spins freely or refuses to turn, this gear is usually the culprit. Swapping it brings the adjuster back to life. Genuine Husqvarna tolerances The thread pitch and gear engagement have to match the adjuster pin exactly or the new part strips within a tank of fuel. Wide model coverage Husqvarna lists this same worm screw across gas saws from the 135 up through the 450 Rancher family and across the battery 500 series and T540 top handle saws. Cheap insurance Small enough to keep two in the truck box, important enough that the saw is unusable without it. Please confirm your model and serial number against your parts diagram before ordering, since Husqvarna revises tensioner hardware between production runs. Why Buy OEM?A tensioner worm screw is a wear part machined to work against a specific adjuster pin. Factory tolerances keep the gear teeth fully engaged so the load spreads across the thread instead of concentrating on one flank. An aftermarket screw that is a few thousandths off will round over and leave you unable to tension the chain in the middle of a job.
