Baptism Swaddle Blanket

- Earlier this year when I was imagining my littlest one’s baptism, I thought about how wonderful it would be to wrap him up in something that captured the beauty of the holy sacrament of Baptism. I wanted to create something that would be meaningful now in the life of a baby, and that would continue to be as they grew older. I imagined a blanket that would bring comfort and beauty but also be a constant reminder of the power and meaning of being baptized into the holy Church. This watercolor swaddle blanket features four elements which were all hand-illustrated and then digitized for the final design. They are a dove, a wooden cross, a holy water font, and a candle with a Chi Rho cross and the symbols for Alpha and Omega.
