Bamix Superbox Set M200

This powerful hand blender does so many different things well that we coined it a “Swiss army knife for the kitchen.” (Appropriate, considering that Bamix is a Swiss company.) The Bamix Superbox’s wand has four blade attachments: 1) a multi-purpose blade for chopping and puréeing, 2) a beater blade for aerating and whipping egg whites and cream, 3) a whisk blade for stirring and emulsifying thicker foods like mashed potatoes, sauces and mayonnaise and 4) a mincer blade for chopping and mincing cuts of meat and fish, plus fibrous vegetables. Pair any of these blades with the dishwasher-safe 4-cup jug and you can chop, purée, aerate, blend and emulsify—and then precisely pour–just about anything. Add on two different food processor attachments—a small one that grinds nuts and whole spices and a larger one that makes short work of pesto, sofrito and smoothies—and you have an entire kitchen’s worth of appliance functions in one compact package. The large processor even comes with two slicing blades and three grating blades, so you can fine-tune the thickness of sliced veggies and the consistency of grated cheese. When you have a job that’s too small to drag out your full-size food processor or stand mixer, the Bamix Superbox can step in. (And if you don’t already own those bigger appliances, you may find you don’t need them at all.) It also comes with a convenient stand to hold it out of the way when not in use—no more tangled-up cords cluttering your drawers. Net Weight: Wand and Shaft: 35.2 ounces Large Processor Attachment: 22.9 ounces Small Processor Attachment: 15.9 ounces Volume: Large Processor Volume: 3 cups Small Processor Volume: 1 cup Jug: 4.2 cups Materials: Food-safe Plastic and Stainless Steel Dimensions: Wand Shaft Length: 5.3 inches Total Length: 13.4 inches Motor Power: 200 Watts, 120 Volts, 60 Hertz Place of Origin: Switzerland Care: Clean the appliance as soon as you have finished working to prevent the drive shaft or attachments getting clogged. To clean, remove any attachments from the wand and hand-wash each part separately. For blade attachments, rinse under running water; you should not need to switch on the appliance. However, if there are stubborn bits of stuck-on food, you may submerge the blade end in a jug with hot water and turn the blender on to agitate and remove the food. (Ensure the switch does not come into contact with the water.) The jug is dishwasher-safe on the top rack. Do not mince bone-in meat or fish with the mincing blade. How to Use: We use the handheld blender’s multi-purpose blade to purée soups and sauces right in the pot, of course. (Or in the included 4-cup jug, for easier pouring). But the Bamix’s many attachments are what set it apart. The whisk blade is great for homemade milkshakes, silky mayonnaise and mashed potatoes; the beater blade will whip even a single egg white to soft or stiff peaks. The mince blade chops boneless cubed meat to a fine mince—ideal for small batches of dumpling filling. Snap on the large food processor attachment to create a savory sofrito, fine-chopped mirepoix or pesto for one. The small processor quickly reduces toasted nuts and small handfuls of herbs to rubble; snap in the PowderDisc to transform it into an efficient spice grinder.
