Baluster Spacing Template

The DekPro Baluster Spacing Template takes the guesswork out of even baluster placement on level, straight railing runs, spacing 3/4" balusters at 4-1/2" on center to meet standard railing code requirements. Rather than measuring and marking each connector location by hand, the template lets installers work from the center of the rail outward: place Round or Square Baluster Connectors directly into their respective holes on the template and screw them in, then continue adding connectors toward each end. For Architectural Connectors, the template's small screw hole locates the position instead. Made from durable PVC and measuring 48" in length, the template speeds up what is normally one of the more tedious parts of a railing install, while ensuring consistent, code-compliant spacing across the entire run. It works with DekPro Round, Square, and Architectural baluster connectors, and can also be used to space Face-Mount balusters using the same screw holes. Note that this spacing is intended for level rail only — stair balusters install at 5-1/2" on center and require different spacing. Made in the USA.
