"Originating in ancient Chinese philosophy, yin and yang, or yin-yang, is the concept that there exist cosmic principles or forces that are opposite yet complementary, which interact, interconnect, support, and perpetuate one another. Together, they form a dynamic system in which the whole is greater than the sum of its interdependent components, and both parts are essential to the cohesion of the whole." This angel assists with mindful presence and the ability to focus on one thing at a time, as well as helping you practice creating a space of no thoughts. Introspection is beneficial because it lets you observe and examine the thoughts that are in the forefront of your awareness so that you can align with your spiritual nature and awaken your awareness of the mystical aspects of your connection with the Divine. Ask this angel to help you to move into deep reflective thought without judgment. Move from contemplation into meditation by quieting your thoughts for periods of time—even for just seconds or minutes at a time. The practice of silencing your thoughts reduces stress, promotes well-being, and enhances self-awareness." - Excerpted from The Essential Guide to Everyday Angels by Margaret Ann Lembo
