DESCRIPTION Archival ink on museum-quality cotton rag paper | 2017 For this series of landscapes, Gabor focused on limiting his color palette and accentuating form and texture in these photographs. By doing so, he created an immersive and slightly disorienting experience for the viewer, reminiscent of a location one cannot quite recall. It’s more about describing the details - such as the way the light falls on or off a pine tree, the mist as the base of a mountain, alien striations only seen from above. I want the landscapes to feel like studies.” Gabor is strictly interested in form and spacial relations at the moment. Studio Visit Q. Do you have a particular philosophy on life? A.
