Backyard Science: Insect Metamorphosis (REV)

As insects grow from egg to adult, they pass through one or more changes in form. This change in form is called “metamorphosis.” But not all insects go through exactly the same kind of metamorphosis. Using familiar insects as examples, the video illustrates the various types of metamorphoses. Part of the "Backyard Science" series. When children play in their backyards, they get a first glimpse of the wonders of nature through encounters with all sorts of small creatures. Produced by Norman and Marjorie Bean, the "Backyard Science" series offers a fascinating introduction to natural science. 12 Minutes | Color
