Backwoods Carbon Splitboard

Light on the skintrack. Fierce on the descent. The Backwoods Carbon Splitboard takes our most trusted freeride board and sends it into overdrive - shaving weight, boosting responsiveness, and leveling up performance for riders who move fast, travel far, and demand more from every mission. Whether you’re setting the booter at sunrise or navigating techy tree lines on tired legs, the Backwoods Carbon is built to keep going and keep charging. This carbon edition sticks to what makes the original great: a wide, rockered nose and tapered tail for effortless float in pow; camber underfoot for control on firm snow and steep descents; and a mid-stiff flex that blends stability with playful maneuverability. But the Carbon construction adds a serious edge - it’s lighter, snappier, and more responsive, making it ideal for long tours, multi-day traverses, and technical terrain. Under the hood, our Strike Split Core combines paulownia and poplar with aluminum stringers and bamboo inserts to keep weight down without sacrificing strength. A PTex 5920 Graphite Base delivers top-tier glide, while UHMW Sidewalls and a Rugged Topsheet provide long-term durability in harsh, variable conditions. Built with Weston’s SplitTech platform - featuring inner steel edges for skin traction and tail-shifted balance for easier kick turns plus, Skinlock System compatibility for fast transitions - this board is fine-tuned by Weston athletes, guides, and avalanche professionals, and backed by our 4-Year Warranty and Board Slayer Program. If you’re ready to ditch the extra grams and chase bigger days deeper into the mountains, the Backwoods Carbon Splitboard is your ultimate backcountry upgrade.
