Retrofit Steel Back Rail Kit for 3-Step Poly Step Stool – Yellow

Overview Barron Equipment and Overhead Door carries the steel retrofit back rail kit for 3 step nestable poly step stool models in the SPN series. A back rail kit gives the user stability when moving on or around the step stool. The unit attaches easily to an existing step stool model and features a strong design built for everyday use. This back rail kit is a retrofit accessory, so it connects to a 3 step poly step stool that is already in service. There is no need to buy a new step stool to get rear support. The kit is covered by a 90 day limited warranty and has an approximate shipping weight of 27 lbs. Features and Benefits This back rail kit is made from low density polyethylene and colored yellow for added safety and awareness. The lightweight construction makes it simple to handle during installation. The back rail kit provides a barrier behind the user while standing on the top step, which helps prevent backward missteps. Installation is simple and designed for immediate use. Assembled dimensions include a depth of 20.4375 inches and a width of 4.5 inches. The back rail kit bolts directly onto compatible 3 step models without special tools or modifications. Because it is a retrofit, facilities can upgrade step stools already on the floor instead of buying new ones. This makes the back rail kit a practical and affordable way to improve safety on existing equipment. The polyethylene build keeps the weight low while still holding up to daily use across shifts. Applications The retrofit back rail kit is a good fit for any workplace where workers use 3 step nestable poly step stools and need rear protection while on the top step. Common environments include: Warehouses and distribution centers Stockrooms and retail backrooms Maintenance and repair areas Production and assembly floors Commercial kitchens and food service areas Hotels and hospitality facilities Municipal and government buildings Moving and packaging areas Adding a back rail kit gives workers a barrier at the rear of the step stool to help prevent backward slips or falls. This is especially helpful in settings where workers focus forward on a task and may not notice the edge behind them. Nestable poly step stools provide lightweight, high-visibility access across many types of commercial and industrial workspaces. The retrofit design lets a facility keep its current step stools in service while still improving worker protection from behind. Selection Assistance Barron Equipment and Overhead Door offers guidance to help customers choose the right accessory for their setup.
