The Back Panel Adapter allows Sequent Microsystems Raspberry Pi I/O cards to be installed on the Back Panel. It rotates the GPIO connector by 90° for vertical mounting. It routes +5V (pins 2 and 4), GND (pins 9, 14, 20, 25, 30, 34, and 39), and pin 37, which is used by Sequent cards as an interrupt line. The adapter can be used with any Raspberry Pi I/O card that relies solely on the I²C interface. FEATURES Routes +5V, GND, I²C, and GPIO26 to the Back Panel connectors Compatible with all Sequent Microsystems I/O cards Can be inserted into any slot on the Back Panel Allows mixing of existing I/O HATs with new Back Panel cards Can be secured to I/O cards using the included standoffs Can be fastened to the Back Panel using the included metal bracket DESCRIPTION The Back Panel Adapter for Raspberry Pi I/O Cards contains a straight 2x20 pins male connector, a right angle 2x20 male connector and a 2x4 side mounted pluggable connector. The straight 2x20 connector plugs into the female connector of the existing Sequent I/O cards by removing the long pin 2x20 which comes with the Sequent cards. The 2×4 right-angle connector plugs into the Back Panel and delivers 5V, 24V, and RS485 signals to the I/O card. A cable harness is required in order to route these signals to the Sequent I/O cards used with the Back Plane.
