Back from the Dead (1997)

When dim-witted Corbet undergoes a hypnotic past-life regression, he unwittingly awakens the spirit of his ancestor—a deranged, cannibalistic psychopath with a taste for blood. As the sinister personality takes control, Corbet embarks on a gruesome killing spree, leaving a trail of dismemberment and destruction in his wake. With each savage murder, the line between Corbet and the malevolent spirit blurs, plunging him deeper into a nightmarish realm of demonic possession. As the body count rises, those closest to him must confront the horrifying reality: Corbet is no longer the man they once knew, but a vessel for an ancient evil. Directed by Craig Godfrey, this splatterfest draws comparisons to Peter Jackson's early works like Bad Taste and Braindead. Starring Tim Aris as the tormented Corbet and John Xintavelonis as the enigmatic Professor Von Dog-Reutter, Back from the Dead delivers relentless gore, dark humor, and a wild ride into the macabre. 89 minutes STANDARD FORMAT English audio soundtrack DVD is NTSC format, Region 0 (region free) playable world wide   Written and Directed by Craig Godfrey Starring: Jake Dengel, Joe Sharkey, Susann Fletcher, Beverly Penberthy, Veronica Hart, Shawn Elliott, Pat Logan and Don Brockett
