Organic Baby Radish with Tops

About Norwich Baby Radishes with Tops Tender young radishes harvested early for crisp texture, bright flavor, and vibrant greens. Offered with tops attached, these baby radishes are prized by chefs for their color, versatility, and balance of freshness, crunch, and gentle heat. Available Varieties Available in Red, French Breakfast, Fakir, Shunkyo, Easter Egg, and Mixed assortments. Mixed assortments may include additional specialty radishes such as Ping Pong, Pink, Purple, Yellow, and other seasonal varieties depending on availability. What Are Baby Radishes? Baby radishes are harvested young before the roots become overly pithy or aggressively spicy. Their smaller size gives them a crisp, juicy texture and a cleaner, more balanced flavor while the attached greens remain tender enough to cook or use raw. The roots and tops are both fully usable, making them ideal for kitchens looking to maximize utility, freshness, and presentation. What Do They Taste Like? Crisp, refreshing, peppery, and slightly sweet. Each variety brings subtle differences in texture, appearance, and heat level: Red — classic round radish with bright crunch and balanced peppery flavor French Breakfast — elongated red-and-white heirloom with delicate texture and mild spice Fakir — slender icicle-type radish with crisp flesh and clean heat Shunkyo — pink cylindrical radish with juicy texture, mild spice, and subtle sweetness Easter Egg — colorful assortment ranging from white and pink to purple and lavender with varying levels of sweetness and pepperiness Mixed — a chef-selected assortment chosen for color contrast, texture, and versatility How to Use Baby Radishes Serve raw with butter, flaky salt, or cultured dairy Slice thinly for salads, crudo, tartines, or garnishes Roast or sauté whole to mellow their spice and enhance sweetness Grill or char lightly for smoky complexity Quick pickle for brightness and acidity Use greens in sautés, soups, pesto, or blended sauces Because the roots are harvested young, they maintain a tender interior and delicate skin while still providing crisp texture and clean flavor. Why They’re Different These are field-grown specialty radish varieties selected for flavor, texture, color, and culinary performance rather than shipping durability alone. Harvested with tops intact and packed fresh, they are intended for kitchens where freshness and visual presentation matter as much as flavor. The diversity of varieties allows for seasonal presentations and plating flexibility that go beyond standard commodity radishes.
