Every cream and lotion we tried made things worse — until we went back to basics and formulated something clean ourselves. This balm was one of the first products we made for her, and it's still made with the same intention: no toxins, no steroids, no ingredients you can't pronounce. Just what your baby's skin actually needs. — Jamel & Sharlise Lee, Founders Frequently Asked Questions Is this balm safe for newborns? Yes. The Ayven Grace Baby Balm is formulated for newborn and infant skin. All ingredients are selected for their gentleness on delicate, developing skin. As with any new product, we recommend a patch test first and consulting your pediatrician if your baby has a known skin condition. Is this balm fragrance-free? Yes. The Ayven Grace Baby Balm contains no synthetic fragrances. Lavender and chamomile are included as botanical extracts for their skin-soothing properties — not as perfume. Can this balm help with eczema-prone skin? This balm is specifically designed for eczema-prone baby skin. It contains colloidal oatmeal at 1% — an FDA-recognized skin protectant — and a combination of plant butters and oils that create a moisture-sealing barrier on the skin. For diagnosed eczema, always follow your pediatrician's guidance. How is a balm different from a lotion? Balms are thicker and denser than lotions because they contain little to no water. This makes them more effective at sealing moisture into the skin and protecting dry or rough patches. They are particularly well-suited for eczema-prone skin and areas that need extra barrier protection. How often can I apply this balm? The Baby Balm can be applied after every bath and any time baby's skin feels dry or needs extra moisture. There is no limit to how often it can be used. How long does one jar last? At 4 oz, most parents find one jar lasts 4–6 weeks with regular daily use after bath time.
